  • Main ingredients: Beef, Pork, Bacon, Onion, Pepper, Cheese
  • Serving 4 servings

Inventory:

Frying pan, grater, kitchen knife, cutting board, plate, spatula, tablespoon.

Cooking Serbian Spitters:

Step 1: prepare the ingredients.

As always, start cooking by slicing, defrosting, cleaning (underline as necessary) the ingredients.
Peel the onion and garlic, cut the onion into small cubes, and the cloves of garlic are even smaller.
Just chop and peeled hot pepper.
Grate cheese on a medium or large grater. Set aside just a little for decoration.
Smoked bacon cut into small sticks.

Step 2: knead the minced meat.

Now mix all prepared ingredients with minced meat. Add salt, ground pepper and paprika as well. And start kneading. First with a spoon, and then with your hands, gently beating, to get a homogeneous mass, as much as possible from these ingredients. It is very important to mix the minced meat well, if this is not done, the splinter will not come out as tasty as it was intended.
From the resulting stuffing, mold a flat patty with wet hands, it should be slightly larger in diameter than the pan in which you will fry the splash. In this case, a cutlet with a diameter 30 centimeters and thick 2 centimeters.

Step 3: fry the Serbian splash.

Heat a little olive oil in a frying pan (at medium power), and then put the formed patty here. The edges will bend up, as intended.
Fry about 5-7 minutes one side. When you see that the lower side has already been fried, the splash will need to be gently pry off with a spatula from all sides and turn over. If it does not work out with a spatula, put the patty on a large plate or flat lid, and then simply return it to the pan with the raw side down. The main thing is to be careful and do not break everything. Also, be careful with hot oil and fat in a pan.

Keep cooking yet 5-7 minutes on the other hand. And that’s all! Serbian splash is ready! You can and even need to serve it to the table until the meat has cooled.

Step 4: serve the Serbian splash.

Serbian splash - this is a table decoration, sprinkle it on top with cheese and put it on the very center. There is a need for it, cut into portions. Be sure to have fried potatoes, a salad of tomatoes and cheese, as well as a couple of different sauces on the table with it, zaziki and aivar are ideal.
Enjoy your meal!
